Why eat seeds?
Seeds are true nutritional powerhouses. Small but mighty, they provide essential fatty acids, protein, fiber and minerals in remarkable quantities.
Seed comparison
Each seed has its specific strengths:
- Chia seeds: 17g fiber per 100g, rich in omega-3 and calcium
- Flax seeds: highest plant omega-3 content
- Pumpkin seeds: excellent source of zinc and magnesium
- Sunflower seeds: rich in vitamin E and selenium
- Hemp seeds: complete amino acid profile
- Sesame seeds: very rich in calcium (975mg/100g)
How to consume them?
Chia seeds swell in liquid (chia pudding). Flax seeds should be ground. Pumpkin and sunflower seeds are perfect toasted as toppings.
